OM MANI PADME HUM (Ohm-mah-nee-pod-may-hum) literally translates as the “jewel in the lotus”. It is one of the more popular mantras and is believed to be linked to the energies of the Chinese Goddess Kwan Yin. Kwan Yin is to the East what the Blessed Mother is to the West. ‘ Om Namah Shivay means “I bow to Shiva”. Shiva is the supreme reality, the inner self. It is the name given to consciousness that dwells in all.
